“Surgit” (2020) foi uma instalação site-especific na montra do atelier da artista Marilá Dardot, situado em Campo de Ourique, Lisboa. A instalação integra o projeto Finestra Sinistra do grupo de acompanhamento em arte Now.Here, que visa a intervenção mensal desta montra pelos artistas participantes. O poema acima escrito por mim, de mesmo nome, acompanhou a instalação, como folha de sala e como parte do trabalho. A exploração visual incorporou a luz artificial, o dourado como reflector, três camadas de pinturas de tinta-da-china e folha de ouro sobre fibra sintética. Neste trabalho explorei a tridimensionalidade da pintura, a profundidade, a pintura enquanto corpo luminoso e as transparências. Foi o resultado plástico inserido no contínuo da pesquisa teórica.

"Surgit" (2020) is a site-specific installation at Marilá Dardot's studio (also Now.Here*'s location) in Campo de Ourique, Lisbon. The installation was part of Now.Here's project called Finestra Sinistra, consisting in monthly interventions by participating artists. The poem was written by me, with the same title, and it accompanies the installation as a part of the work. This visual exploration incorporates artificial light, golden fabric as a reflector and three layers of indian ink and gold leaf paintings on synthetic fiber. I explore the three-dimensionality of the painting, the depth and the painting as a luminous body.
*Now.Here is an experimental initiative for research, exchange, reflection and practice in contemporary art. Nowhere is independent and managed by Cristiana Tejo, curator, and Marilá Dardot, artist.
